Dynamic duo Stones & Bones kick off 2021 with a groovy new single, ‘Edge of the Earth’ featuring Anduze.
“Edge of the Earth is a realization of love’s teachings. When we are young, we stretch ourselves in so many different directions trying to experience all that life has to give. As we mature, it becomes more clear that only love can spark the foundation for growth”, says Anduze.
2020 saw the release of Stones & Bones ‘In the Name of Love’ EP. Their long awaited release was well received both locally and abroad. Casper & KG successfully broke through the COVID-19 cloud with three singles last year all of which were well supported on radio and streaming services. The guys enjoyed their very first number one on national radio station, Metro FM, with their smash hit ‘Uthando’ ft Halala Gumbi. Other singles from their EP such as ‘Desire’ ft Zacas held down the no.1 spot on East Coast Radio for 2 consecutive weeks while ‘Rain’ ft Candyman & Manashe Musiq also charted across the country.
Stones & Bones describe Edge of the Earth as one of those crazy collaborations that just work out in a strange serendipitous way. “We were introduced to Anduze through a mutual friend at a nightclub in Santorini, Greece where we toured during 2019. Anduze had this idea about travelling to the edge of the earth for love and he recorded a vocal on the fly and sent it to us. It immediately resonated with us and after adding a nice yanos styled baseline, with a sweet township jazz styled sax melody. We knew then that the song was special”.
